UAE Dubai

Dubai is known for its superlatives: the world's largest airport, the tallest building on Earth, the largest shopping mall, the largest indoor ski slope, the largest water show, and much more. It's no surprise that Dubai is one of the most visited cities in the world. Thanks to the countless reports and resources available online, everyone can find information tailored to their interests. Nevertheless, in our travel report, we'd like to share some of our experiences and tips.

Day 1: Our trip to Dubai began with an amusing moment. Beforehand, the two latecomers asked if they would need a sweater for the evening. With a smile, I confirmed this, and the joke began. At the airport, wrapped in thick sweaters, they quickly realized I had been pulling their leg. The heat hit them mercilessly as soon as they left the building. Wonderful! After a brief laugh, we went to the hotel and straight to bed. A tip : Choosing the right time to travel is crucial . In summer, the thermometer often climbs above 40 degrees Celsius, and even in the evenings, temperatures remain above 30 degrees.

Day 2: The first day was all about settling in. It quickly became clear that the heat, even in May, is challenging. We were given small spray bottles of chilled water by the pool... a welcome refreshment. Of course, our first visit to JBR beach was a must. Despite my warning, the boys enthusiastically ran into the sea... fully clothed. At 30 degrees Celsius, the water offered little relief. We spent the evening on the promenade, " The Walk ." It offers a variety of restaurants, shops, and a view of impressive cars. Highly recommended!

Day 3: A highlight of the trip was the city tour. We started at the Dubai Mall , the largest mall in the world. Among other things, it houses the world's largest gold souk , a 24-meter-high waterfall, an ice rink, and a huge aquarium. Right next to it stands the city's landmark: the Burj Khalifa , at 828 meters the tallest building in the world. The visit to the observation deck and the Dubai Fountain water show were particularly impressive—a real highlight. We ended the evening at TGI Fridays with a view of the Burj Khalifa, the fountain show, and the skyline.

Day 4: The fourth day was dedicated to relaxation. The pool, spray bottles, and the bar were our constant companions. An evening stroll along Jumeirah Beach rounded off the day.

Day 5: Visiting Aquaventure Waterpark at the Atlantis Hotel was a fantastic highlight. But first, we made a few stops: another visit to the Dubai Mall and then a photo stop at the Burj Al Arab . The waterpark, with its slides, offered fun for both children and adults. The "Leap of Faith" slide, however, was a bit too much for me, which the boys found very amusing.

Day 6: On our last day, we once again enjoyed the pool area and the beach. In the evening, we brought our trip to a close in an oriental atmosphere with good food and a water pipe. Dubai is a captivating city. The blend of modernity, luxury, and hospitality thrilled us. It was wonderful to experience this trip with the boys and also have some time for ourselves.
